Steganography
Hide a text or a file inside a picture, or read one out

Drop a picture here, or use Open picture above. Any picture your browser can show will do — PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF. You then add a text or a file, and get back a PNG that looks the same and carries it. Nothing at hand? Try the Sample.
- The data is written into the lowest bits of the picture’s colours: each colour changes by an amount the eye does not see. The result is saved as PNG, the format that keeps every bit.
- It survives being copied and sent as a file. It does not survive a picture being re-compressed or resized — most chat apps and social networks, a screenshot, saving as JPEG.
- A password encrypts what is hidden (AES-256). It keeps it unreadable, not unnoticed: this tool can tell that one of its own pictures holds something.
